Nyan Jersey

(Any dream pre-2017 does not have an exact date; many are guesses based on text message receipts and iPod notes) Background: I binged watched a lot of horror/snuff? movies that summer (The Exorcist, Haunting in Connecticut, Centipede, etc.) and spent a week in grandparents' (now sold) old, creepy house in Jersey. Dream 1 I was napping on the couch in the living room, the usual setup making me question whether or not I'm dreaming. However, the ancient wooden tv looked closer than usual; almost directly in front of me rather than its usual spot in the left corner. As I tried to shake myself awake, I felt a jolt of energy through my body only to find myself still stuck in the same spot; the tv displaying the Nyan Cat video, but with drowsy-sounding audio. Drunkenly shaking myself awake, my vision shows surrounding colors with a grey tint, still watching distorted Nyan Nyan. Dream 2 I was sleeping on the pullout couch, questioning why the room looked almost like a fish bowl lens: everything in the middle looked wider than it was supposed to be. At this point we had moved the tv to the middle of the room next to a window rather than in the corner (vision problems suck 🙃). Looking at the tv's reflection, instead of displaying stairs on the room's opposite side, there were shadows running around as if they were yelling at each other (or me). The shadows looked like poorly-drawn dinosaurs, viciously chomping and waving their sharp claws around; as if it was a flash animation.
