Lost my wife

I had a dream that my wife and I were walking down the street in an unfamiliar urban city. I didn't know where we were, but I got the feeling it was in a different state and we were in the bad part of town. The buildings were run down and boarded up and covered in graffiti. It just looked ghetto. I was annoyed with my wife for some reason and just wanted to be away from her, so when she said she was going to go make a phone call, I just said OK and let her go. She went around the corner as I kept walking and got lost in my thoughts, but soon I realized that too much time had passed, and she should have caught up with me. I walked back to the area where she last was, and she was nowhere in sight. I saw an alley with rusty dumpsters and a payphone and figured she must've used the payphone. I kept walking down the sidewalk on a main street that sloped sharply downhill. I was hurrying and getting more and more panicked because I couldn't find her, and I was worried that she had been kidnapped. I got to the bottom of the hill and saw a help desk just randomly on a street corner. A young woman around my age was standing behind the desk staring at her phone. I ran up and asked if she had seen my wife. She said something that I can't remember, and then she had me fill out a form for lost and stolen items. I was mad because I needed help and felt like she could do more to help me find my wife. I ran back up the hill, calling my wife's name and crying for her to come back. I blamed myself for letting her walk off on her own and regretting not going with her. I can't remember the rest of the dream, so I don't know if I ever found her.
