Bus Travel

I was on a shuttle bus. It didn't make sense because the bus took me back to my original departure city. It would have been quicker to have just taken the bus the whole trip. The final destination were apartments. Then we had to map out a route for co-workers to take from the apartments to the office. It became an ordeal. Something about mapping the route with turtle signs. I was confused as to why we had to do this. Can't they just use their map app and get there their own way?
