Punished by a god?

My memory of this dream isn't that great. I remember two different scenes, but don't quite remember how they were connected: 1) I remember writing some code at work. 2) I remember being inside my kitchen with the lights off, and then when I tried to turn them on it didn't work. I also noticed no sound would come out when I tried to speak. I think in the dream I concluded that some kind of god punished me, which is a weird conclusion. I then went to grab some essential oils.
