Almost renting a house

Sharaf, the girl roommate and I were set on this house we wanted to rent. We all got an email saying thank you for your interest, but there’s another applicant we’re moving foreword with. I thought oh fuck, that’s sucks. Although we were already there, and there was a huge massive line of people, which was basically all teens waiting to view it. The line was huge, over 100 people, and it compared to a line to get into a club downtown. They were still accepting people to come in and view the house. We all talked and decided even though we got the email, since they were still letting people in we would wait in line and view the house anyways, so we could come inside and ask the landlord what was going on in person. The house was perfect, like a dream house. This was our second time viewing the house, and once we were finally inside we explored about looking for the landlord and eventually found him. He was skinny and white, but it was obvious he wasn’t from Canada, maybe European. He had a big nose, and actually looked a lot like Vlad from my family. We asked him what was going on is it not available , while he was sitting in a chair and chilling while everyone was viewing the house. He said no it’s not available but ask me again at the end of December, ask me at the end of the month. We said month? Why are you renting it to someone new every month? The landlord said this is what the owner of the house wants, they want a new tenant every month. I was confused how they were profiting if they were renting someone new every month, I wondered if maybe every month they made it more expensive. I asked the landlord, so if we moved in hear we’d have to be moved out in a month? The landlord said maybe we can work it out for more than a month but I immediately lost interest in the place because I wanted at least a year lease, I wanted something stable. I told my roommates okay I have closure I’m done with this place, let’s go, and let’s look at other places.
