Thief - sleep paralysis

Saw a Thief in the kitchen. Wanted to shout but the sound just won't come out. Kept trying for some time, as the thief got closer to me with a knife. He put it on my throat and I kept trying to shout but only a muffled sound would come out. Finally screamed on top of my voice. Woke myself and my roommate up.
