Dream: Core Values

Zane Cloudstriker became a monster to protect his country. Arya "died" because of it. She was the daughter of a noble family and Zane's bride. His only reason to keep fighting. Awoken from her coma years later... her memories of Zane are like a fever dream. Yet she feels an ache and an emptiness in her heart.. As Zane roams the kingdom's borders in his monstrous form to keep his people safe, Arya is lied to and manipulated into another marriage. She is continuously told Zane isn't real and that if he was he'd never love her. That no one would love a stupid daydreamer. The days go by but she can't let go of the thought that Zane might be alive.  A couple days before this new marriage is meant to happen she is shown how twisted and cruel her "fiancee" is as he almost succeeds in forcing himself on her. He is stopped by the maid of Arya that calls out stating her brother has returned. The man leaves Arya in her maid's care. Luckily her brother's patrol unit returned from the border that same day. They had been sent by Zane himself. Her brother, Kardin, tells her that people are lying to her and uses a crystal mirror to show her. He helps her escape, along with her maid, and they take her to Zane as he fights off people from the kingdom. Kardin uses his magic to blast back some of the attacks. Others still hit. Her maid, Lyna, uses throwing knives to take down some of the attackers. Arya runs to Zane's side as his monstrous form crumbles and the human inside struggles with seeing Arya alive. "They said you were dead..." His eyes distant. "They told me you weren't real." She told him and placed a hand over his heart, "They wanted you weakened so they could steal your core... your power..." Zane smiles at that and places a hand over Arya's heart. He pushes power into her and she feels something thrumming inside her. "My core, the thing holding the majority of my power, was lying dormant within you Arya." He smirked but soon turned his gaze to Kardin and Lyna as Kardin's patrol unit appeared and helped them fend off the remaining attacks. "Zane we need to get out of here. Now." Lyna stated. Zane scooped up Arya in his grasp as Lyna changed form into a huge dragon. Arya stared in awe as everyone climbed on. Same taking similar forms. The group flew off away from the battle. Then I awoke.
