Selling my old tv on some app. I got an acceptable offer and proceeded to arrange for a drop off. The person’s address was 507 Dominican Street. Hopped in the car with my dog Luke and the tv loaded in the trunk. Drove down some local roads then down some that were less familiar. I accidentally passed the house. I turned back around and passed it again. I decided to park the car in a wooded area not too far from the house and walk there on foot. I left Luke and the tv in the car for some reason. While exiting the woods, I followed the wrong road and had to turn back again. When I arrived back at the fork in the road I heard the jingle of Luke’s tags. He escaped the car somehow and was sprinting through the woods to find me. I was amazed that’s the dog was smart enough to open the car door. I took off my belt and used it as a leash so Luke wouldn’t run off on me. I continued toward 507 Dominican Street. While walking there, I started to think. Why didn’t I just drive there? Why did I leave the TV in the car? If Luke left the car, the door must still be open. I realized Luke didn’t open the car door, someone else did. I sprinting back through the forest toward the car. When it came into view I saw a yellow Jeep parked right beside it and a sketchy looking woman loading up my tv into the trunk. I started yellowing at the thieves to stop while charging full speed at my car. They peeled off once the tv was packed away and I got in my car with Luke to chase them down. The license plate read ‘MICHELE AND SAM.’ I was driving as fast as I could down these winding roads to catch up to the Jeep. I was in disbelief that Luke didn’t defend the car or bark at the thieves or anything. He usually is not nice to strangers. The buyer called me and I explained that the TV was stolen. She asked what we could do about it because she didn’t want the transaction to appear on her EBay account any longer. I opened my app and cancelled the transaction.
