Best Friend Getting Beat Up by Her Boyfriend

We were at a huge party. My best friend’s boyfriend, Richard, started beating her up. He was pushing her, punching her, kicking her. She was begging me to help. I called 911 and explained the situation but before I could give my location the call cut out. I kept trying to call back and the call wouldn’t go through. Someone said EMS wouldn’t show up unless there was loss of blood, to conserve time and resources. My friend wasn’t technically bleeding but she definitely needed medical treatment. I was able to start getting her away from him, walking away. My boyfriend arrived to help and we got her towards my car. She said she needed her Juul and wasn’t sure where it was. We looked around and couldn’t find it. She said it must be in the room with Richard and she wanted me to go back for it. I was angry that I had to go back and face him.
