I was scheduled to be in a debate with this other girl named Katherine. In the dream, since my mom asked me to lunch in real life, I had forgotten I couldn't that day, because I was in this debate. They said it was a Christian debate, which was kinda weird. It was not your average ordinary debate either. There was some sort of competition, and Katherine and I were competing head to head. We had to answer questions, debate style, but we also had to compete in several activities, like keeping this balloon off the ground, and we did some sort of swimming contest as well. I don't remember all the questions we had to answer, but there was one that stood out to me. The question was whether or not it is OK to hunt animals. The opinion I gave in my dream is how I feel in real life about it, and that is, if you're hunting because you need to provide food for you and your family, that's one thing. Or if you or someone you love is in danger, and the animal is either attacking, or threatening to attack, then you're well within your right to kill the animal. But if you're killing animals just for the fun of it, as a sport, that I am against. If you're killing just for the thrill of killing, I don't agree with that at all, because I'm a Wiccan, which is a branch of paganism, and the most important rule says harm none. That includes animals. If you're under attack, you are within your right to defend yourself, or if you are in a position that you need food to survive, that's one thing. But if you're shooting random animals just for fun, that's considered harming an innocent animal in my book, so I would be against it. Several people, including my mom, who was watching from the audiance, didn't like my answer. Then I woke up.
