So in this dream, we lived in a bigger house than the one we live in now, and it had a patio. The dream started out in the morning. I had the day off work, and my parents were getting ready to leave. They reminded me to feed the dogs and do dishes and laundry, all that jazz. So then, they left. Well, my sister really wasn't in this dream. I don't remember if she was at work with my parents or if she was on a date, but I know that I was alone with our two dogs, Deedee and Max. However, in this dream, even though they looked just like Deedee and Max, their names were different. In this dream, Max was named Alex, and Deedee was named Laurie. So Alex and Laurie had to go outside to go to the bathroom and I opened the door to let them out. I thought that they came back in after doing their business, so I shut the door and I went to do my chores. So then the dream fast forwords to like 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon and my parents and sister are home. I told mom that I fed the dogs and did my chores. Then someone asked "Where's Alex and Laurie?" My heart skipped a beat. I realized then that they have been trapped outside all day with no food or water. I thought I had let them in and I didn't. I felt horrible. Especially since it was a very hot and sunny day. They've been outside for five or six hours at least. I quickly opened the door and Alex and Laurie came in. I remember touching Laurie and she was scorching hot and really dehydrated. Alex felt hot as well. I immediately went to replenish their food and water to get them hydrated again. And when I went to fill their water, I noticed there was food in the water bowl. So I had to dump it out and clean it, then put fresh water in there as quickly as possible. Then I had to give them more food. I felt so bad about them being trapped outside for so long. And I must have poured food in the wrong bowl. Then, with my heart still beating, I woke up. Laurie was Deedee once again, and she was lying with me on my bed. And Alex, was now Max again, and he was in his kennel. That was a relief.
