So I had been accepted to staff Charlie company for the summer 2017. I was a platoon warrant and was super stoked. During staff training, we were brought into the ocean to learn how to scuba dive. But while it was my turn, I noticed something weird about the sand, it was textured.. almost like a web or a crochet of some sort. It went on for miles and the farther you got, the cloudier it got. Eventually we reached a wall of pure black darkness. It was frightening but also intriguing so I went in. Turns out there had been a ship wreck. But instead if seeing the ship, i had a vision of how it happened. I could feel the fear and the dread that the people on board had. I was overwhelmed by it, almost suffocated by the stress and anxiety i felt being part of that ship. I could hear the cries of children and the screams of parents as the ship crashed into the water sideways. I could hear the water rushing in through the broken windows and I could hear the muffled screams of the people who had already gone under. I could see the crash. I saw the boat drift sideways into the wave and flip. I watched as people flew off the deck and into the darkness below them. I watched ship rip apart and become engulfed in icy, black water. I watched as the boat and everyone in it, disappeared. Eventually I snapped out of it. I ended up seeing the ship when i opened my eyes. It was rusty and covered in sea life. My heart froze as I remembered the hundreds of bodies that slept peacefully in their watery grave. But i could still hear the screams of the souls that were not lay to rest with their concrete forms.
