Getting Circumcised

It seems I want to marry a Jewish girl or something, because I'm at a doctor's office getting counseled on circumcision. I had thought the whole foreskin had to get chopped off, but the doctor tells me only about a quarter inch needs to be chopped off to count as circumcision. I see that happening to my penis, just enough to make it flat-tipped.
