Just a Boss Fight of Epic Proportions

So I’m an adventurer scouting a massive dungeon. This dungeon isn’t like other dungeons who only consist of stone and mold, that would be oh so boring. Rather in this dungeon, there’s stone, mold, and trees; big difference. Think of the forest dungeon from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and you’ll be in the ballpark. So there’s a really-really big open room in the shape of a rugged cylinder that’s lit up from the sunlight breaking through open voids in the ceiling. In the middle of the room was another cylindrical room with a dried up moat around it. It was almost like it was a massive, hollowed-out, dead tree. I started off inside this room. The room had wooden walls but no top. The walls reached up to the ceiling of the massive room that encompassed it, but it didn’t touch it. If it weren’t for the hole at the top, I wouldn’t be able to see my surroundings. The floor around me was filled with water and little patches of land. Forming a jumping puzzle of sorts. Across the room there is an artifact all bright and glow-y. It’s almost like it’s saying: “Hey, you should activate me. I’m important.” I brought up my wrist and ask the A.I. in my high tech watch what the artifact does. He says that it has a high probability of summoning a demon named Adriel. The A.I. Then brought up a holographic image of the guy and a brief description of who he was, but I didn’t read it. The image showed what looked like a mini boss. All black, ten feet tall, very skinny, long head, red glowing tattoos covered his body, walked on all fours, and over all just looked like a very mean dude. I deduced that he wasn’t an actual demon, but no one gets called one from being easy to defeat (looking at you Zabozah). So I told my A.I. that I didn’t feel like dying today and nope-ed my way out of that room. This next bit probably occurred in response to the cowardice I showed in the last room. To get back to the main room, I had to go through this long, dark, rectangular room all Hoth Echo Base style, but the scale was twice the size. All of a sudden, the ground began to shake wildly as massive crab legs reached-down and settled on the ground outside the tunnel I was in. Then beast eased itself down, allowing for it’s singular massive glowing green eye to peer in at me. The room I was in was dark already but when the eye covered the entirety of the exit, it alone glowed in the dark, it was quite horrifying. The iris scanned the hall from left to right before fixing its glare on me. Once it saw me boss music from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild started playing. The eye slowly blinked and moved away from the exit, and repositioned itself so it’s eye wasn’t right up on the exit. The monster then pulled itself back allowing the tentacles that covered the underside of its body to have clear access to the room. The situation just got a whole lot worse. I made a mad dash toward this massive creature just as about seven of its many tentacles hurled themselves at me. I ducked out of their way and continued to run as they each ravished about the tunnel, searching for me. When I finally made it to the crab-like monster at the end of the hall, I jumped past him and made my way out into the massive main room. The tunnel ended on a ledge so I had to bring out my glider so I could glide to safety. Now that my foe wasn’t obscured, I could see him better. He’s crab-like with his legs, but more clam-like with his body. The shell that covers his one massive eye is a mixture of black and purples. The monster wasn’t about to let me go however, one tentacle met its mark and smacked me out of the air and onto the sandy ground bellow. It was at this moment I realized that I was in a boss battle, one that I wasn’t ready for. I was so out of my league here. I needed to get out, fast. If I didn’t, things were going to get messy, in a really bad way. I decided to use an ability I have that’s very similar to Gale from BOTW. I just crouch for a moment before jumping up. When I do, a gust of wind will push me upward into the air where I could then equip my mini paraglider allowing me to move vast distances quickly. I attempt to use this ability to get myself airborne again, but the moment I get into the air a tentacle is ready for me and swats me back to the ground with a thud. The boss crawled down off of the center structure and made its way over to me as I struggled to bring myself back to my feet. I was on my knees trying to recover when suddenly the monster jumped into the air. I watched as it’s circular shadow raced across the ground before fixating itself over me. My stomach dropped. I knew exactly what it was planning. It was going to try and crush me. Luckily for me, there was a small pond a few feet away. I dived into it just as the massive shell smashed into the Earth. The beast encompassed the entire pond and a little bit of the land surrounding it, sending vibrations through the water and blocking out all light in the pond for several moments before it picked itself back up. The moment it did, it sent tentacles into the water after me. I was really vulnerable now, so I unsheathed my sword and began to hack and kick the tentacles as they grabbed onto me. Thankfully, this bought me enough time to escape the pond run out onto dry ground. I tried to use my Gale power again only to get knocked back down again by the beast’s tentacles. I tumbled across the landscape before rolling to a stop in front of some stone pillars the were jettisoning out of the sand below me in all directions all about 10 meters tall. The monster jumps up into the air again, trying to crush me. I saw his shadow was swiftly approaching me, so I picked myself back up and run into the cluster of pillars 15 meters away. The moment I dived inside, the boss slammed into the earth only centimeters behind me, the shock wave knocking me forward. The impact shot sand and rubble from the stone pillars into the air. This time, I was able to regain my footing and try my Gale power once again. The monster sent another tentacle to knock me down but was unable to keep its footing, and stumbled on all of the rubble bellow it. I glided away and approached a large rocky hill with a cave carved into it. Vines and sand are obstructing my view into the cave. I landed about 25 meters away, and run the rest. I didn’t want to be in the air for too long or he would catch up and potentially knock me farther way from this cave. On the ground, I hoped that I was a harder target. I was almost there when the monster caught up to me. However, it was going so fast that it couldn’t stop itself. The monstrous beast slammed into the cave entrance blocking almost the entire opening, causing rocks to fall on top of it. I used my Gale ability one last time so I could squeeze through a gap between the monster and the top of the cave. The creature was so disoriented from the crash it couldn’t stop me. The inside of the cave was identical to the one I went through earlier, but their were boxes scattered about and a blue portal at the end. I started running toward it the moment I hit the ground. The monster roared behind me in rage. With one quick act it ripped all the vines that were covering the entrance of the cave. It put its eye close to the entrance, coating the cave in an eerie green hue while sending dozens of tentacles in after me. I jumped over boxes, rocks, and ruins as I made my way to the portal. The tentacles behind me caused a ruckus tossing boxes and rocks all around. When the portal was only a meter away, I leaped in. The tentacles followed me in for a bit before they ran out of slack. The portal was a swirl of blue and whiteish colors. The path it took me through was very curvy but in a general upper right direction. The portal was covered in root-like objects. For some reason I knew that I needed to avoid touching them. They were like a nerve system for this dungeon. If they are triggered, just about every monster will know where you are. I dodged all of them the best as anyone could flying, suspended in space. On the other side of the portal, I saw the party of adventurers that I was with. One blond girl (who looked to be the leader because of her stature and gear) and two brown haired guys (one knight the other a ranger) stood around me as I exited the portal. The blond girl was the one who made the portal, she was also the party’s mage. I quickly told her what had just happened to me. She looked concerned that a boss had appeared in a room we had already explored as a party. At that moment I remembered that I was sent to scout that room to make sure no one was following us and that we weren’t walking into a trap (At this point I’m certain that I was the party’s rouge). She expressed she was surprised that a monster was able to break her barrier spell, even a monster of that size. (I also realized that it was because it broke the spell that I went to investigate that floor again) (She placed a barrier spell on each floor to keep monsters from entering or spawning areas we’ve designated as “cleared”). After saying all this, our leader, the mage, said she could feel the rest of her barriers starting to weaken on all the other floors. We all start to panic and worry what we were going to do to survive this. Then I wake up for school.
