Granddaddy’s legal assistant

Granddaddy asks my opinion of Effie, his admin. He says she’s $1.00 too much an hour. It seems as if others like her a lot, but he’s not crazy about her. I start to make an observation about their very different styles of approaching a problem when the alarm rings. There was also an extended family discussion about who has lived in Montana. My aunt Evelyn looked surprised when I started to speak, presumably because I have never lived in Montana. I stated the obvious, that Grandmother lived there.
