Communal House

There are three floors to this house. It has a large wooden deck in the back leading out from the second story, with stairs going down to the first level. I am living in this house with a group of people, some of whom I know, others that I do not. There is some unspoken or unknown competition that is going on. We play a game out in the front which is a weird combination of a Battle Royale and Hide-and-seek, where my perspective (of myself) shifts between first and third person. The game's setting is along a river that is in front of the house. The river is heading down a hill, and the game is played by starting at the top of the hill with four other people, they hide their eyes and count to thirty while I find a place to hide. They only count to 20, and look up. I realize that they are looking before the time is up, and feel disappointed. Some time passes, and I secure a room on the second floor of the house (3 bedrooms per floor). I go outside and someone is starting a bonfire on the side of the back porch as night falls. A second bonfire is started. It begins to rain, so I start to move inside. I turn around and see that someone has moved the bonfire under the porch to shield its flames from the rain. It strikes me as unintelligent, because the bonfire could easily cast a flame on the porch, and ultimately burn the house down. Although, for some reason, I keep these thoughts to myself and instead scowl at the remaining people outside hovering around a bonfire. I return inside and head to my bedroom. I open the door to my room and see a guy unpacking his things. He's in his early 20s, has short to medium length black hair. He looks up at me with an expression of surprise. I frown. He looks around and realizes his mistake - that he is in my room. He apologizes and beings to pack his things back up. I think to myself that there aren't any empty rooms, but refrain from voicing these thoughts. At least until he leaves. He finishes packing his things and exits. I shut the door.
