New world

I was holding on to a shelf in a pantry while my gf was looking for a nail. The shelf fell and it was like a spaceship had crashed over the world destroying civilization as we knew it. My gf and I and a few others were trying to build a new home but many objects were radioactive. We found a Geiger counter and started measuring everything. The stones we had in our pockets were even radioactive. So we dumped everything. The only way to remove the radioactivity was to boil everything in milk. We started to run low on milk so I and someone else left for a grocery store. I bought food and started to cook a sausage in the store when I ran into former classmates. I ended up leaving and forgetting about the sausage. Later on in the dream I remembered and started asking everyone of they'd managed to stop the sausage. No o'e had seen it and I was terrified I'd started a fire somewhere.
