Finally, A Kitten

My parents have always been strictly “no pets.” In this dream, we had moved from where we live in the country to a subdivision. On the road to our old house, my mom said she saw a tiny kitten in the cold. My dad and I tried to find it, but couldn’t, so my mom led us there. The kitten was super small, maybe a week old. It’s back legs were in casts. I picked it up and let it sleep on my shoulder. I begged my mom to keep it, even just for one night until we go to an animal shelter. She agreed to the latter. I took the kitten to our new house and explored the neighborhood with it. Later on, I laid in bed in our new house and played with the kitten, and realized it’s casts had fallen off, revealing that the back two legs were amputated. That only made me want to keep the cat even more.
