Harry Potter as The Omen?

This couple had a son who wasn't conceived naturally, and while the parents were loving, the child was rejected completely by the mother's family (the father didn't have other family). The boy wasn't actually evil, he had supernatural abilities and intelligence beyond his years, and was really just trying to understand himself as much as his parents were trying to understand him. But things didn't go well. As soon as the boy entered the parents lives, creepy/bad things started happening. They previously had a daughter (at the same time as the boy) that was murdered by a terminally ill man. The father was actually a cop himself, but he was prevented from going inside the house by his colleagues who didn't want him to see the crime scene, so as not to traumatise him further. The murderer died soon after. While they were doing the autopsy they discovered the murderer had managed to carve out a written message in his own bones somehow. A message directed at the father of the murdered girl. I can't remember what it was about. One school morning the parents were hanging around the kitchen. The father was reading a newspaper or something, while the mom was setting up the table. A television screen was behind the dad showing a discussion about the "transmigration of souls" (reincarnation). The boy came in and walked towards the TV, fascinated by the discussion. He could make the TV repeat phrases and rewind with his mind, even though it was a live feed. This creeped out the parents, the mom was especially worried about upsetting the father who was generally speaking at his limit, and asked the boy to stop. The boy seemed like he was actually remembering his past life and trying to make the parents pay attention to what was being talked about on TV. I can't remember how everything escalated, but then the father plotted to kill the boy he thought "wasn't human" and while the mother was equally disturbed, she threatened to cut him up if he hurt the child. She reached for a giant sharp knife in the drawer and her husband was like "ok fine". So they tried to pretend everything was okay, and tried sending the boy to school. I woke up when the boy was wearing the school uniform with his pants down for some reason.
