Andy was dying again

My dad told me the vet said Andy, my pomeranian, had prostrate cancer. i was extremely worried because they didn’t sound confident that he would survive. i asked my dad, “Can they get it out?!”. he didn’t give me an answer. he just said these are the medicines for Andy. on the label it said it can cause the dog to make a screech that will alert a flight or fight response in women around the age of 35. Thought that was strange. I was crying really hard because I was so worried Andy was going to die. I didn’t want to lose him. I woke up and instantly remembered that Andy is already dead, he died last september at 15 years of age from natural causes. i felt relief because i didn’t have to worry about him dying anymore but also sadness as i looked upon the realistic painting i’ve been working on in his memory.
