Maya

One day my mom surprised me with a kitten named maya. I’ve always wanted a kitten and my mom knew that. I grew a really great bond with maya and whenever I had bad days at school I’d go to her and she’d make me really happy and forget what I was sad about. But one day she died and I was so sad. I was so sad that I didn’t get out of bed for days except to use the bathroom. I didn’t eat or drink anything I was so sad. My mom got concerned because she realized I wasn’t eating and tried to take me to urgent care. I told her I didn’t want to go. She tried to make me go but i forced her not to take me because I knew they’d hook me up to all types of machines. Since she couldn’t get me out of bed, she called 911 and the ambulance came. She told them I haven’t moved or eaten in days which was true. They took me up on the gurney and took me to the hospital. I stayed in the hospital for weeks. During my stay, my crush came and visited me many times and that made me so much happier. I still missed maya though. At the end, I got to go home and there was a welcome home party waiting for me when I got there. I didn’t want to eat anything but I knew I had to because then this would all happen over again. I just ate about three grapes. I got to go back to school and see all my friends and my mom got me another kitten named Ella.
