Iron Giant

I was fighting alongside some of my "friends". They we're close in my dream but I can't remember their faces now. We were being shot at and had taken cover but I was left in the open and a guy known for being merciless had an automatic gun and I thought to myself "I'm going to die here". We locked eyes and he spared me. In my shock I sprinted for a hole in the wall of a building but out came a robot resmbling the robot from iron giant, he also spared me but slaughtered everyone in sight except for a few of my friends. Whoever was remaining (including a talking wiener dog) went through the whole in the wall and we gathered there.
