Department Store

Working in a department store. An important man getting an award, Martin Scorcese? Talk to him then shop a bit. Girl at perfume counter buys me a jasmine perfume so we can both keep our jewelry in it. There is also lavender and violet and some green and black kind called Naou. All in small flacons. I find a pair of shoes on the sale rack. Platform clown shoes Mary Janes. Red, with yellow trim and a navy blue heel. But they are size 23. I get stuck looking at some little pretties and have to ask an old lady to move. Dust rises as she moves and I tell her it smells nice. But it smells like dust. I have 2 pale ostrich feathers in my hand. A lady asks if anyone is stealing. I say know, but that I do have these feathers. A rack full of gorgeous light airy clothes for tiny girls. A bookshelf. Trying to find present for honored man. Keep losing my bag. Adri is jealous. Thinks I don’t have to pay for things. But the perfume was a gift.
