Baby Squirrels & Moonshine

I was with a group of people. Someone found a baby squirrel. We were trying to figure out how to care for it. It was really cold and snowy outside so a concern was how to keep it warm. I put it in a plastic Easter egg and made a “nest” of cloth scraps. People thought this was great and would work. Another baby squirrel appeared, so it was put in a plastic egg too. The squirrels were sleeping and looked so cute. We felt the rescue was a success and wanted to share the story - also use as way for local business to get attention. We kept talking about what the headline should say. I suggested Orphaned Baby Squirrels Cared for by Local Businesses. I needed to catch a train home. There were shops at the train station. Someone suggested I get a jar of moonshine cherries. It seemed like a good idea for the holiday. I was told the cherries were sold out so settled for the peaches. The cashier was a foreign guy, Italian maybe. His co-worker, also foreign, began conversation. He said he could get the cherries for me.
