So I use to have this reoccurring dream as a kid. It’s really hard to explain because it’s not so much what I saw but the feeling I got. In the dream everything is moving extremely fast! I see flashes of bright lights and it’s almost as if I’m spinning in circles. I’ll hear this loud humming that vibrates through me like a quick vibrato from loud to soft then loud again. Most of the time it feels like I’m running super fast around a white track but I’m being chased by someone or something. Whoever or whatever they are, they are equally fast and I feel this sense of fear. It’s almost like a palpitating in my head. Imagine flying in circles at extreme speeds but someone chasing you at a faster speed. It seems like they are slowly about to touch you but everything around you is flying by. Slow but fast. I have this same dream every few years. Recently I noticed that I have that same feeling when I’m awake for a short periods of time. It happened every once and a while. I’ll be sitting still but it feels like everything around me is going 10 times faster. When I move it feels delayed, but I recognize that everything is moving in real time as it should. It doesn’t seem like a medical issue and it doesn’t scare me. It’s just a weird sensation I experience pretty rarely. Idk if any of you have felt something like this but I’m kind of curious about it. Comment if you have any thoughts.
AI generated interpretation Based on your dream, it seems that you have a fear of being chased or pursued by someone or something that is faster than you. This fear is manifesting itself in the dream as a sense of everything moving extremely fast and a feeling of being chased. The bright lights and loud humming vibrations could symbolize a sense of confusion and anxiety related to the faster pace of life and the uncertainty of what is coming next. It's possible that this dream is a manifestation of your anxieties around out-of-control circumstances or fears of being outpaced by others in your waking life. Alternatively, it could be an indication of feelings of inadequacy, frustration or low self-esteem, as if you are running as fast as you can but unable to keep up. The recurring nature of the dream may indicate that you are struggling with these feelings on a regular basis. Your recent experiences of feeling like everything around you is moving faster than it really is, may also be linked to the dream. Alternatively, this could be a sign of anxiety, stress, or other psychological issues that are expressing themselves physically as sensations of time moving more quickly than it truly is. Overall, it might be useful to explore these feelings with the help of a therapist or counselor to better understand what triggers them and how to manage them effectively. Additionally, it may be beneficial to develop some coping mechanisms or strategies that can help you feel more in control of your life and less susceptible to feelings of being chased or overwhelmed.
