Tandem bike

I’m driving down some highway and see a tandem bike randomly shoved in the brush alongside the road. It looks nice so I park in the middle of the road and hop out to go see if it’s just abandoned and something I can take. When I get to it, there’s a video message attached (I don’t really know how it worked). In the video is a couple who are explaining that this is their tandem bike, and that they left it here. They say the place is under surveillance so if anyone tries to take it they’ll know. Then they explain how when they visited there, they had this bike and loved it so much. But apparently it was too big to transport back to their home across the country. They said something about “we have plenty of money to cover it so we figured we’d just pay to keep it there until we move back!” I didn’t think the place was truly under surveillance, I figured that was just a scare tactic, but I didn’t want to risk it. Plus the bike was enormous and I didn’t know how I’d get it in my car anyway. I wondered to myself “if they’ve got so much money then it wouldn’t matter if someone stole the bike anyway.” There was a bear driving a car that pulled up behind me as I returned to my car in the middle of the road. He was asking me about the bike and I told him to do whatever he wanted. He seemed sketchy so I got in my car quick and drove away.
