He wasn’t real

I met a guy who found me in my room on accident when he was looking for a public bathroom and he immediately thought I was cute and I thought he was cute and he struck up a conversation based on a fictional book I was reading. I leaned into it and sat next to him talking about PR, the book had a scene on the beach in Anasco and i told him how it reminded me a lot of when i went to PR with my brother and it was fun. he was clearly hispanic and had a strong accent, he asked me if i knew spanish and I explained my situation and spoke to him in my spanglish accent. He was like ohh ok yeah I understand but it’s hard for married couples when they don’t speak the same language but I reassured him i’m practicing and becoming more fluent everyday. then we sat outside and continued to talk and gaze in eachothers eyes. Ricky walked up and told me he’s ready to leave, whenever i looked at Ricky I noticed the chair where cute boy was sitting was empty. i didn’t understand how that was possible but I told ricky i was busy talking to someone. ricky left and i looked back at the chair and cute boy was still sitting there. we kept flirting until i realized my mom and my brother were both looking at me weird. they were wondering what im doing talking to an empty chair. I realized everytime i look at my family, i can’t see him in my peripheral vision anymore. but everytime i looked where he was sitting, he was there. I was in disbelief i had made it up in my head, that would be so embarrassing if i apologized to an empty chair that my brother interrupted our convo. I grab both of cute boys arms and start asking him if he’s real and he wasn’t saying anything. my mom was like see? he would try to convince you if he was real (how did she know he wasn’t convincing me idk) we started flying and i was realizing his arms were like laffy taffy and twisting and stretchy and I was like ohh ok so he’s not real. he disappeared and i was disappointed bc i really liked him. i started walking away with my family and leaving the mall. there was a candy stand selling chocolate and cookies. i grabbed a candy and my mom said i need to pay for it. i was like obviously but you have my purse. she handed it to me and i asked the lady how much is it for 1 chocolate. she said she doesn’t sell them singularly and id have to get a cookie or milkshake as well. i didn’t want anything else so i was about to put the candy away but the wrapper kind of broke since its made of paper and i kinda touched the chocolate so i felt obligated to pay for at least a chocolate. i tried to explain that to her but my alarm went off at this exact moment so i woke up.
