Elder Scrolls Fugitive

I was in a VR Elder Scrolls multiplayer kinda game. I found a little run down house called something like Dawnlake but there were other people there who didn’t want me to inhabit it. One person saw me and ran at me but I ducked out of the way and they were impaled on the sign outside of the house. I decided the house was mine. Later I went to some sort of crowded government event like a ball or a town hall meeting. As I walked down a staircase to join the crowd, it turned out I had a bounty on me for killing the dude at Dawnlake. I tried to activate a spell in an area of effect but the controls were too weird on the VR. I was slain. I respawned in Dawnlake and the dude who slew me was living there so I snuck out before sunrise into the wild.
