birds and stabbing a ram

I was in my old childhood home and the sky was dark and grey. hundreds of bugs were swarming in the sky, from the right a flock of white birds flew in (like thousands of them) and from the left thousands of black birds they all violently clashed in the middle eating all the bugs. the sky was filled with black and white birds so many you could hear their wings flapping. then it began to rain and the birds flew away down the street and over a forest, I remember being with my fiance and we were both concerned by the birds leaving. the rain got heavier and suddenly I saw a crane/stork bird flying from the forest and landing the the street, we were happy to see it but as it landed I referred to it as a griffin it was more a large ram sheep with giant white wings, I tried to photograph it on my phone but my camera wouldn't work and the images were blurry suddenly the ram started to jump up at the windows and bleeting/yelling at us, it smashed through the glass and hit me with such force it knocked me across the room, it's wool was solid and heavy and it didn't have wings any more. it's horns hit me in the stomach and it started to headbutt me in the stomach over and over again bleating and trying to bite me. I suddenly felt very scared and threatened so I pulled out a giant knife and began to stab it over and over again, my fiance joined in stabbing it till it was on the ground. I was concerned about our carpet as we were in a rented house, there was no blood but suddenly the ram was very small (cat sized) and wet laying on the floor I asked my partner to pick it up and put it in the bath as he did I noticed a dead grey cat in the bath. the ram was still alive and suddenly I felt terrible with what I had done, it looked at me with sad eyes and I knew it would never forgive me for stabbing it and I knew it was upset by my actions. I wanted to make it better but I couldn't so I cried, my partner said he would fix it, he seemed happy and closed the bathroom door and put on nondescript upbeat music he opened the door and the ram was shaven and was stood up, I could still see its stab wounds though and I was still filled with guilt and could not forgive myself (the dream went on but I really can't remember it)
