Vicious Dog outside barking to get in

Short dream: I was in my parents home and briefly saw my little dog run down the steps (she was killed in a dog attack about 1 month ago) next thing is a big vicious german shepherd in the front yard barking and growling at the front door/windows trying to get in. I remember searching the house for Phoebe and yelling for my family not to let her outside. Then I woke up.
