Belfast Child

Sticking with the new "rule" that dream titles are from song titles. This one is "Belfast Child" by Simple Minds (who, coincidentally hail from my home city of Glasgow, Scotchland!) I am walking down a street and I happen in on a conversation coming from within a building, it could be an office or a hotel lobby. A much anticipated competition has been won by some woman I worked alongside. A total cretin, can't even remember her name. Something O'Neill. Face like the back end of a bus and a personality to match. Anyway it transpires that the competition was a book review and I had also entered it. I was extremely upset that I hadn't won. I venture inside the building.... This part of the dream is a bit hazy. I remember being inside a bathroom and swithering to go for a piss in one of the urinals or not. I am then in a large conference room or function room and there is a large crowd inside. Someone (Martin Greenshields, the sales director where I work ) is at the front of the crowd who are all seated with a camera on a stand or tripod taking a group photo. Hey, I need to be in on this I think and I spot some colleagues that I want to sit beside. But I need to edge my way down so as not to ruin the photos that are currently being taken. Too late, I am spotted and am told to make my way in so as I can join the group picture. I am then in a building adjoining the hotel. I am with young Darren who works beside me. We are on the first level and on a balcony that looks down onto the street. I see a young woman walking across the street and her heels are clicking very loudly. Another woman approaches to help as there is a problem with one of her heels. Yet another young woman looks up at me and Darren on the balcony and says, in an Irish accent (I then "realise" I am in Belfast, hence the dream title) "How are you doing up there? Everything OK?" or words to that effect. I then respond with two thumbs up and say "Everything is fan-fucking-tastic doll 👍👍". Darren and I then realise I probably shouldn't have swore so we quickly make our way inside and head back towards the hotel to make our "escape".
