Rose Thorns Under My Skin

It's a freezing day. I'm running at Track practice and I suddenly feel my joints being constricted. I abruptly stop and stand in the middle of the track, staring at bumps pushing from underneath my skin, slowly reaching the surface. All of my skin feels warm but it soon fades. What seem to be rose thorns made of my own bone are sprouting from my skin. They bring with them beads of blood and a lot of pain. I can't move, but a teammate of mine notices as he runs past me. My coach rushes over and falls to his knees and prays for me as I'm standing there, frozen in overwhelming pain and shock. The silhouette of a rose is on the track formed from my drops of blood. I force my neck to bow down slightly and I thank God for my life. And that's it. I wake up. Honestly, I'm now a little hesitant to go to Track practice tomorrow.
