Dream: Shifting Time

I can't remember a whole lot. It was like a parallel version of this world. My husband and I had been living in this two story (plus basement) duplex for a while with my brother and his girlfriend. One of those days I was going through my daily routine. I think I was in the middle of doing laundry.  I blinked and suddenly the home was darker. My clothes were no longer near the washer and dryer. I walked up from the basement to the kitchen and looked around. The door opened and in walked two people who looked like my siblings Sam and Lucien… but they were much older. Like late 20s now (context they are both under 18) and they both looked tired.  "What the f***?" I whispered, unsure what was going on. "Ash?" The older Lucien questioned as they saw me. The older Sam dropped the bag they were holding. Shock on their face. "How are you still so young?" "Where have you been all this time?" Those were just a couple of the questions I got bombarded with. "I don't know. I was doing laundry. I blinked. Then I was here." We talked for a short bit more. I yawned and ended up closing my eyes when doing so. "Ash. Hey. Are you listening?" I opened my eyes and the duplex was brighter. Mom was in front of me. She was talking about something. I hadn't lived with her for many years.  "I'm sorry. I think I'm just tired. Could you repeat that?" She placed a hand on my forehead in concern. "You don't feel feverish." She placed a hand on my shoulder. "Have you had breakfast yet?" "No, I don't think so." Her eyes were full of concern. I wanted to say more but I blinked and was suddenly surrounded by people I knew and people I had maybe seen once in passing. Everyone was in mourning clothes. I saw Jaden, maybe in his mid to late 30s now, by the kitchen. There was a table nearby with a picture of Mom and some incense lit. "No…" I whispered as tears fell. I could hear whispers. Someone saying "poor thing finally registered" or something to that extent. Jaden looked at me, eyes widening like he'd seen a ghost. I didn't hear him, or anyone else. I shut my eyes tight and opened to see Sam and Lucien when they were maybe 4 and 5. They had followed Mom into my room. She was bringing me soup and the thermometer.  "Is that really you, Mom?" I asked from the bed I was lying in. "Well it isn't the easter bunny," she teased. She smiled and checked my temperature. I awoke after that.
