Old man in a cabin

My dad and I drove I to the woods and stopped at this old man's house, he had tall spruce trees and a lot of cut fire wood. His cabin was not very massive but had about 4 rooms and a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. He led us into his house while we asked him to help look for something for him. We searched in his bedroom then his little space between the kitchen and his room. We then searched his living room and he started to get inpatient. He had a bunch solid concrete 1 footer boxes lined up against the wall of his living room. We searched each one, one by one. He said "This isn't gonna work, we're never going to find it". My dad and I spoke and tried to encourage him but he didn't seem to accept it. The dream ended.
