I was a mermaid?

I dove under water and felt some kind of fish or tentacle under my feet. I looked at something like a submarine under water. When I surfaced, someone showed me pictures that were taken of me while I was under water looking at the submarine. The photos showed that I was a strange type of mermaid/salamander with crimson colored skin, fins and a very long tail. I had a cute, human head and face though.
