I was able to get out of my dream

Date: 10/17/2017

This dream happened like 4 years ago and I actually remember it clearly. So I was in this abandoned hospital but it was all clean and nice. I was walking around trying to find my way out. Idk how long it took me but when I finally got out of the hospital I was in a parking lot that barely had any cars, it was daylight out as well. Across the parking lot was a gas station and it looked very similar to the gas station speedway. So I remember going inside and behind the desk was this very creepy cashier guy and he just looked at me with a glare so I quickly walk to the end of the gas station were all the drinks are held. So since I was able to sense that something bad was going to happen I closed my eyes and counted to 3, and when I would make it to 3 I would open my eyes. So I counted to 3, opened my eyes and I was still in my dream. I do it a second time and I opened my eyes and I was awake in bed and man was I glad to get out of that dream. Now I remember I was only able to get out of my dreams 2 times so this was the second dream I did it in, if that makes any sense. Sadly I can't do it anymore.
