Dragon Guards

The visuals and sounds/voices in this dream were strongly reminiscent of "The Secret of Kells," which I'd been watching the night before. There was a mountain palace inhabited by dragons. I can't remember if I was a dragon, too - I played almost no role in this dream. There was a group of guards trying to decide what to do about an attack. Another dragon was acting like a cheerful old mentor, teaching someone (might've been me, I'm not sure) about magic. The attack came, and the guards tried setting up a protection spell, but it wasn't at full strength because they weren't sitting at the same level. It was literally only a few inches height difference, but moving would have broken the spell entirely.
