I hope this doesn't mean something.

I was at a school performance. The concert band was the farthest from the door, then the jazz band, then the choir. I was on risers with the choir and we were in the middle of singing. Everyone heard a shout and a gun go off. Everyone panicked and began to run towards the exit. An explosion went off and shook the building. I remember hearing screams of terror or pain and wanted to help, but I ran outside with the first people to get out. Once we got far enough away, we turned to look at the school. We could see flames licking inside of the glass door whilst people ran out. I began sobbing, out of grief or distraught. So did many others. I looked around for my friend, who also happened to be my crush, but I didn't see him. Almost everyone had poured out, but I didn't see my friend. I raced back to the building to get a better look, but didn't see him. I saw a kid from my class trapped, locked in a room with flames building around him. For some reason, his leg was bandaged. He motioned for me to go, not to try to get to him. I was about to try when I was pulled back away from the building. Time cuts forward at this moment. I still hadn't found my friend. Parents began to arrive to evacuate their kids. I saw my friend's mother pull up and look frantically around for him. I felt I should tell her, as my friend and I were basically best friends. As I made my way towards her, however, I saw a shadowy figure appear in front of her and begin talking. I realized it was my friend, so I began running towards him and calling his name. He ignored me, or didn't hear me, and began walking to the other side of the van. I reached him and grabbed him by the shoulder. He turned and I saw that he was bawling. I reached to embrace him, but he ran and bounded into the van.
