I follow a man to a basement as he calmly walks down tbe stairs. I come in after him, but the people chasing us get to me before I can shut the door and lock it. We struggle a bit but at last I close and lock the door. As I’m in the basement with this man, he expresses his desire to go outside with his people, using one of the doors in this basement, but we have to keep it locked for now while the evil people are chasing us. I have the understanding that we are Christians hiding from those persecuting us. This man is a leader I think, he has a powerful yet calm presence/demeanor. Then I get this crafty idea to open one of the windows so we can enjoy some fresh air while not opening a door. As I do so, the persecutors soon find the open window and I struggle to shut the two small windows with two tiny pins as they shove their way inside. I get the pins locked in place after some trouble, but they were strong enough and the persecutors broke the windows open. End. Thoughts... - Don’t procrastinate until it’s too late, don’t push it. The man was well down in the basement before the evil came, I, on the other hand, came later... When I had to struggle to shut the door because I waited to come down. - Be patient, there is a time and season for everything. In the basement, the man had the good desire to go out and enjoy the fresh air with his people, but he knew he could not because of the circumstances. He used wisdom and waited. I, on the other hand, thought I was clever and opened a window in a time when it shouldn’t have been opened. I didn’t think it was big enough to cause trouble, but it most certainly did. Even our downfall. - Some windows we open cannot be properly shut again, use discernment and patience. - What we think is a window of opportunity can easily be a window for the enemy to enter in. Again, be patient, use wisdom and discernment. Most of all, pray. Don’t assume you know best.
