inescapable woodlands

so i drove out to these acres in houston that my uncle owns & things started to get strange. First off, I brought my ex boyfriend with me & i was driving my old drop top benz. we drive all the way out there & get lost on the property because it’s over 30 acres of land that’s just really really high trees. we stop at this little lake & we make a little camp fire because there’s a cute little cabin. so after a couple hours, there’s a saying about these woods that “the trees will make you lose your mind”. so when it gets dark i want to head back because i don’t trust the woods especially at night. so i’m like “cmon jakob we’re leaving” & i start walking towards my car & he’s like “well we need to put the fires out” so i get a bucket & fill it with lake water & then as we’re putting out the fires, we start to hear theses screaming sounds & we look up & probably 50-100 feet away are giant, vicious, apes swinging from tree to tree in a pack of over 200. we instantly duck behind the little cabin & are hoping none saw us. Then we look up & see a cute little baby on an electric tower a few feet above us so we were trying to be quiet & talk it to come down & it let’s go & jakob catches it. after they all clear out we hear this screaming roar of the mother so we put the baby down & it sprints off in the direction they went. we get in the car because we’re starting to hallucinate & as we breath the car starts to fill up with white smoke & i wake up.
