Car crash while in another place

Date: 8/15/2017

I'm driving a rental car with my friends, and one other person. I don't know what this person looks like, but they seem like a man. For some reason I'm driving very poorly on this road between a wall and a river. Suddenly I turn too hard and the car rolls 5-8 times before landing in the water. Everyone remains calm through this, and as soon as the car is submerged and no longer rolling I unbuckle my seat belt and swim up to the surface. Next thing I know, we're all walking up concrete stairs that look like part of a parking garage. This building is built above the water, but all the piping that once connected it to the building on the other side of the road has been broken, so it's basically an island. There's some sort of argument between me, another girl, and the stranger, but I don't know what it's about. While it was dark outside when I crashed, looking out the window across the street it's day time now. I see between buildings on different sides of the street two strange pixelated cat-things dancing and moving around. They look like they're intended to be some sort of promotional mascots, and they look essentially like a mine craft character come to life. For some reason I know that there's people inside of them and they're only costumes, but I don't know how these holographic looking characters could be powered by people.
