Santa Barbara Beast

Driving up the 101 and we get pulled over at a checkpoint. Everyone is lining up and walking through this huge visitor center place in the forest. Looks as if everyone is being quarantined for some reason. Turns out there is a mythical beast - some sort of albino yeti/tiger type creature that was on the prowl in the city. There were different booths inside describing the different threats as if we were in a kids science museum walking through different exhibits - one described its physical abilities, another it’s sense of smell, we were told how to avoid it and how to attack it if need be. I didn’t take any of it seriously and thought the whole thing was silly but then we all heard a roar.
