I like my friend in a like-like you way?

My friend John offered me a lift home. So I accepted. Through the ride we we're having a great time talking at the front and I hugged him teasingly while he was driving. It shocked him since I was known for being the most not touchy friend. There were some of his classmates at the back who had that smug smile on their faces as if somethings up. John was touching the tips of my finger with his and said something to me.(John's a shy guy it took a week for him to open up, I can't imagine him doing this in real life) When we got to my subdivision he dropped me off and we were laughing and joking like always but we felt closer. And I left talking with a male classmate who was probably a neighbor.
