Serial killer in town

There was a serial killer in town and everyone was terrified. I for some reason went outside at night like a dumbass for a bottle of nail polish?? For some reason at the gas station up the road, people left bottles of it on a table outside. I needed it because 3 of my fingers didn't have nail polish. I looked behind me and across the street, there was a random kid standing there alone. I went over to him and a random kitten was there too. I took them both with me and was going back home. Dogs in the neighborhood were barking, so I was like, if he's (the serial killer) here then he's surely coming this way. I peeked by head around the dentist office and saw a dark hooded figure coming my way with a weapon. I grabbed the kid and hid behind the building but I was worried he saw me so we went around to the other side. I knew he was going to be standing there waiting for me so I picked up the kitten and told the kid we needed to run as fast as we could. As soon as we booked it, the killer started chasing us. I made it home and told everyone the killer was after me. He somehow had supernatural powers and got in the house. I stabbed a sword into his heart?? But it didn't even faze him. I stabbed him with it in the head but he only laughed. He said he was a dragon?? We talked and he randomly decided he'd just leave?
