Tasting dirt

In my dream I was being raised by someone who was always told they'd be given someone to raise but that someone was supposed to be something else. Something that was more with the earth.:: but I always had a sense of dirt in my mouth so it's like I was that thing more with the dirt in another life. They were supposed to be protecting me/the thing close with earth/dirt
