Repetition

I was in a desert with another traveler. Whenever he points at something and I look at it, the scene restarts back to just us walking in the desert. Then he would ask me again only to have it restart the moment i start to look. There were times where I saw what he was pointing at (ruins in the middle of the desert and the millennium falcon in another restart). But most of the time I didnt because the restart would happen too fast. Then I did something that made things freaky. The moment the traveler pointed at something, instead of looking at it, i looked at the opposite direction. Upon doing this, I saw 2 figures from a distance. One was pointing at us and the other was just staring. And I focused a bit more on what was behind them, there was another set of 2 figures which appeared to be just silhouettes to me now. Then it hit me. I know now what the traveler was pointing at.
