A human from earth and alien were sent to another planet somehow. Over time they figured out how things worked. The human and alien decided to build a world on this empty planet. The alien had telekinesis powers and could build the main area. He found this green goo and put it up on the ceiling (I'm not sure what it was for, but probably something important.) There was also this digital table thing that allowed you to build by just telling it to; blue prints flouted above it. You could also upgrade and "create" new citizens; however, the town was made up of robots- rather than life, but they acted a lot like living beings. The human was more obsessed with this world than the alien; often passing out while watching their "subjects" go about their lives. There was also this Hawaii-like island gets attacked a lot from outsiders. Unsure how that was happening seeing as the human was practically the "god" of this planet.
