Was dead by then

A family friend (BDG) in his 80s, who I had not been attending much called me around noon or later part of the day to ask about my well being and a favour to lend my car and driver for his upcoming visit to somewhere (actually this discussion happened today). Then later after the call, my mother (late) called up to ask did I get the news? She say did I know BDG is no more. He passed away in the morning. I said that cant be since he called in afternoon. Then asking around I was told that this kind of calls happen, the lingering souls last communications
