Random walk with my friends

Me, a group of friends and my boyfriend decided to take a walk around a city we’ve never even been in before. Before we headed out on our adventure, we took a group photo for some reason?? Anyway, we were walking around this weird city and it looked slightly polluted. And then my boyfriend went missing and we had to look for him. So I called the number of a retail store near the city and asked if they knew where he went. Except I couldn’t understand what the store owner was saying because she was an inkling (from the video game splatoon) and they speak complete gibberish, so I get frustrated and I ask “DO YOU HAVE ANYONE THAT SPEAKS ENGLISH IN THAT DEPARTMENT?!” And I hear silence on the other end until a black guy who spoke English came on the phone and helped me find my boyfriend. And turns out, he abandoned us to go see a fight that was taking place in an abandoned alleyway somewhere.
