Night in Delray

I had gotten a job as a detective and I was finally going to have the opportunity to work on a case. Nicole and Caity were also working at the office that hired me, and Nicole and I were put on the same case. We went and grabbed our walkie-talkies and left. I knew that this was just a dream, and I was very excited to tell Nicole that I finally had a dream, since it had been so long since I last logged one in the Dream Journal App. Renee, Blake, Blane, Nicole, Gary and I were at some sort of New Year’s Eve concert in downtown Delray. After one of the songs ended, Renee and Blake started talking about all the kids from youth that they had seen there, and they were really upset that they were there because they were apparently too young. We realized that it wasn’t even close to midnight, so instead of staying at the concert until then, we decided to leave and come back later. As we were leaving, Gary put his arm around me and I thought “this is such a Gary thing to do,” so I just let it happen. He apparently had a bracelet on that had his name on it, and Renee said “That was creepy... Some guy walked passed us and said ‘Hi Gary’.” We walked out of a side door from the stage and I saw that Joey and a couple of his friends [I knew them, but I can’t remember which ones] were walking in. I held the door open for them, and Joey made some funny comment to me [in the gay voice that he always did in real life]. We decided to go to a 50’s-themed diner, and everyone had somehow walked way ahead of Blane and I, and Joey was now with us. I tried walking through one door that doesn’t open, and then I tried another door, but it was the door for the car shop next door. Blane and Joey laughed at me. Joey went inside and then I got in line with Blane to finally go through the correct door. I realized that this was Ellie’s Diner [which is where my parents got married in real life]. Apparently, we were supposed to go on a car ride in one of the 50’s style cars before we went into the diner, so I got in line to ride in the next car, but Blane stayed back for the car after that. Suddenly, I was in the car with three old ladies, a girl about my age, and a girl a couple years younger than me. One of the old ladies was driving really slow, and I was annoyed because I just wanted to get back to the diner. We stopped somewhere and sat at a picnic table. The younger girl was taking snapchats of the cutest of the old ladies, and I asked to take a picture of the picture she got of her so I can send it to my friends. The lady had a whiskery mustache and a big silver Afro. I sent the picture to our “Before Land Time” groupchat.
